Terms of Service
1. Agreement to Terms
By downloading, installing, or using the Zuco mobile application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Zuco Technologies ("Zuco", "we", "us", or "our").
2. Definitions
- App: The Zuco mobile application
- User: Any person who creates an account on Zuco
- Pet Parent: A User who books pet care services
- Host: A User who provides pet care services
- Booking: An arrangement for pet care between a Pet Parent and Host
- Platform Fee: The fee charged by Zuco for facilitating bookings
3. Eligibility
To use Zuco, you must:
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Be capable of entering into a legally binding agreement
- Have a valid phone number
- Not be prohibited from using the App under applicable laws
4. Account Registration
4.1 Account Creation
- You must provide accurate, current, and complete information
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account
- You are responsible for all activities under your account
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use
4.2 Invite System
Access to Zuco is currently invite-only. Invite codes are for personal use and should only be shared with trusted individuals. Misuse of invite codes may result in account termination.
4.3 Identity Verification
We require Aadhaar verification before your first booking or becoming a host. Providing false identity information will result in immediate account termination.
5. Platform Role
Zuco is a platform that connects Pet Parents with Hosts. We are NOT:
- A pet boarding service provider
- An employer of Hosts
- An insurance provider
- A guarantor of service quality
6. User Responsibilities
All Users
- Provide accurate information
- Communicate honestly and respectfully
- Comply with all applicable laws
- Not engage in fraudulent or illegal activities
Pet Parents
- Provide accurate pet information (breed, temperament, medical needs)
- Inform Hosts of any behavioral issues or special requirements
- Ensure pets are healthy and up-to-date on vaccinations
- Drop off and pick up pets at agreed times
- Pay all fees as agreed
Hosts
- Provide accurate information about their home and experience
- Care for pets with diligence and in good faith
- Provide a safe environment for pets
- Communicate promptly with Pet Parents
- Send photo updates as reasonably expected
7. Bookings
Booking Process
- Pet Parent sends a booking request
- Host accepts or declines within 24 hours
- For free bookings: Pet Parent confirms after chatting
- For paid bookings: Pet Parent pays to confirm
- Pet is handed over at agreed time
- Host cares for pet during the stay
- Pet Parent picks up pet
- Both parties may leave reviews

8. Free Service
Zuco is currently a free community platform. There are no fees for pet parents or hosts. We believe in neighbors helping neighbors without financial barriers.
We may introduce optional premium features in the future, but the core community experience will remain free.
9. User Content
You retain ownership of Content you post. By posting Content, you grant Zuco a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, reproduce, and distribute your Content for the purpose of operating and promoting the App.
Content Standards
You agree NOT to post Content that:
- Is false, misleading, or fraudulent
- Infringes intellectual property rights
- Is defamatory, obscene, or offensive
- Violates any applicable law
10. Safety & Liability
Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:
- Zuco is NOT liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
- Zuco is NOT liable for the actions of Users
- Zuco is NOT liable for pet injury, illness, or death
- Our total liability is limited to the platform fees paid in the last 12 months
No Insurance
Zuco does NOT provide pet insurance or liability insurance. Users are encouraged to obtain their own insurance coverage.
11. Prohibited Activities
Users may NOT:
- Use the App for any illegal purpose
- Create fake accounts or impersonate others
- Circumvent the platform to avoid fees
- Scrape or collect data from the App
- Share contact information to book outside the App
- Engage in discrimination based on race, religion, gender, etc.
- Harass, stalk, or threaten other Users
12. Termination
You may delete your account at any time through the App or by contacting support@getzuco.com.
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, provide false information, engage in fraudulent activities, or receive multiple complaints from other Users.
13. Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996. Courts in Bangalore, Karnataka shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
14. Changes to Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting notice in the App and updating the "Last Updated" date. Your continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
